Thomas Rebek displays his love for cityscapes, seascapes, and landscapes in
his warm watercolors, sensitively depicting each scene. "Watercolor painting
inspires me and makes me want to explore color and form in a fresh way."

Thomas was born on April 26, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He earned a BFA
from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and an MFA from the
University of Illinois. He came to Boston in 1969 after teaching art and
design at Cornell University.

A member of the Copley Society of Art, where he has achieved Copley Master
status; a past president of the New England Watercolor Society; and a
distinguished artist of the Concord Art Association, Thomas has won several
major awards from those art associations as well as from the Cape Cod Art
Association and the Cambridge Art Association. He has held several solo
shows, and his work is widely published and is represented in many permanent
private and corporate collections throughout this country and abroad.
Thomas maintains his winter studio in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. |
